Statement of Faith
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God.
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING GOD
We believe that there is One God eternally existent in Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God’s name is Jehovah as identified in Psalms 83:18 “that men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth”
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING THE CHURCH
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return as stated in 1st Thessalonians 4:17, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING SIN
We believe that sin is everything that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and every thought
that is not in obedience to Christ.
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING SALVATION
We believe that salvation Is the source or means of being delivered, preserved, from harm, ruin, or loss from sin and its consequences to be brought about only by faith in Jesus Christ
We also believe “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” As stated in Romans 10:9
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING CHRIST
We believe that Christ is the only begotten son of God as stated at John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We believe also that the only access to the Father is by Him, the Son as stated at John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING THE HOLY GHOST
We believe that the Holy Ghost is also the Holy Spirit one of the three persons in the one God.
We believe that the Holy Ghost/Spirit is the comforter that Jesus left us as stated at John 14:16, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
We believe that the filling of the Holy Ghost/Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it. James 4:2 say’s “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.”
OUR BELIEF CONCERNING SANCTIFICATION
We believe that sanctification is to be made Holy, set apart as sacred and consecrated to be purified free from sin.
We believe also in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world.
